Crashplan Upload speed

I set up Crashplan in a server client/config as per the instructions in the Crashplan support docs (http://support.crashplan.com/doku.php/how_to/configure_a_headless_client). That was easy enough. There was a 30 day trial so I let it run...

Here's the status after 1 day (and a few hours):

You will always be limited to your upload speed. What's the typical speed you get when you are uploading/downloading?

So far CrashPlan has always maxed out my upload bandwidth ~ 2Mbps or so.

I haven't used Crashplan, but I have used a couple similar plans. Upload bandwidth is, in the end, determined by each user's connection. Most of us use commercial ISP's that already limit upload bandwidth. Presumably, Crashplan, etc., restrict their upload rates so their customers don't run afoul of their providers. Also, if one application sucks up all available bandwidth, users will find their other net and web apps running slow.

In my case, the initial upload of 60 gigs took 3 weeks. It's really just one of those set it and forget it things.
