Hello people.

im using ubuntu 12.04 64bit. Here is my problem, i own a "Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro", only Card installed in PCI slot working fine but external IO panel no sound nothing using IO panel to connect my headphones not even controls working volume UP or Down. I would like to use Linux as my fist operating system and use windows for gaming. Any help will be appreciated.

Unfortuantly the front panel will not work in linux. Only the Analogue Out on the back of the card will work and the Digital Out with a bit of tinkering. I have an X-FI Xtreme Gamer and it has the same issue. Sorry for the bad news. Also, as a warning. Don't buy the PCI-e variants of the Soundblaster Family, they don't work that well if at all for the moment.

thanks for info, then which card will it support if i go for new one ASUS Xonar series or ROG Xonar will they work.

Still nothing worked, anyone using this same Sound card found any driver kindly contact asap.
