I have Ubuntu 13.04 installed but it is getting too slow with Unity on my current hardware. Gnome fallback seems a little buggy, so I am looking at moving to Xubuntu. I have been running Xubuntu from a live USB drive and seems to work great. I have my home folder backed up to an external drive with Deja Dup.

Should there be any problems restoring my home folder in Xubuntu coming from Ubuntu? Any other advice or problems that I might need to know about when doing a fresh install and restore?

Thanks for taking the time to read,
Alex

I did a fresh install right over Ubuntu, and just added the files from a USB that had my photos saved and stuff. You might have to work with flash unless you have google chrome added. Really, should just be fine. Just make sure before you do any switch, you can hook into the internet with no trouble. Welcome to Xubuntu. XD
