I am running Ubuntu 12.10 on a Dell Studio XPS 1340. When my computer boots I get the error message: System CMOS checksum bad? How do I fix this?

Possibly needs a new CMOS button battery in the motherboard?

Look in your hardware manual; you probably got one from Dell when you purchased the computer.

Thanks! I installed Boot-Repair and the problem seems to be gone. Heinrichr
