Well, i came to log in to my desktop after i reset my computer and i put my username and password
in and im greeted by a low rez screen that kinda whent back to normal, but now its like the desktop is not
been redrawn properly (frame updates) and i get a "snake" of where all my windows where.
(like when you drag a a window in windows xp when explorer.exe get stuck)

i cannot work on the coimputer any more like that...

what i did:

sudo unity --reset
sudo service lightdm restart
-reset screen rez to default
-reset nvidia pref to default

what i have:
dual monitors (1 vga, 1 vdi2vga)
nvidia graphics card (and the software installed)
ubuntu 12.04 64 bit
kernel 3.2.0-48 generic
AMD athlon processor (quad cores)
6 GB RAM
lots of free space on HDD

If this is any good:
1. I was running with a orangey looking unity look now it has becom blueish (i know this sounds wierd)
2. The desktop itself (icons) have long gone but i didnt care mutch about them.

Thank you for your time reading my post :)

Update: I tryed gnome but it comes up wierd (tiny, on 1/4 of the screen) but with MATE It's all working fine (and oi get desktop icons)
