hi

I'd like to to set up british keyboard permanently in Lubuntu with LXDE:

XKBMODEL="pc105"
XKBLAYOUT="gb"
XKBVARIANT="nodeadkeys"
XKBOPTIONS=""
BACKSPACE="guess"
My problem is I don't know the keyboard code, is it gb, uk?

In South Africa, the preferred keyboard layout will depend on whether your primary language is English or Afrikaans. For details, see this Webpage (http://www-01.ibm.com/software/globalization/topics/keyboards/registry_index.html).
