fresh server install
reboot ends in dropping to root shell
shutdown -h works however
tried to google a bit, updated kernel to latest according to advice on similar (but not the same) thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2144730&page=3) here
maybe somebody already has got it?
