Mupen64plus 1.99.5 on Ubuntu 12.04

Hi, I'm sort of new to Ubuntu, so bare with me.

I was able to install mupen64plus, and I can run the games fine, but I do not know how to change keyboard controls or use my USB Xbox controller? If anyone can walk me through setting these up that would be great. I installed it in /home/user/mupen64plus-bundle-linux32-1.99.5-ubuntu/ with the install.sh


I'd like to be able to do the most I can for games anyways in Ubuntu. Dual-booting with Windows isn't that great cause Windows takes forever to load while Ubuntu is loaded in 5 seconds.
