Not that I personally have ever used the suspend or hibernate options when logging out, but I'm working on making my own Ubuntu-based distro, having started with a Ubuntu Mini Remix, and then adding what I want to add, and I'm using Xfce for the desktop (my personal favorite). Anyways, whenever I log out of the thing, I only have the buttons for log off, restart, shut down, and suspend, with hibernate being nowhere in sight. Does anyone know how to make it show up?

Thanx in advance,
Fred in St. Louis

Hibernation is disabled by default in Ubuntu, due to limited hardware support. Instructions: https://help.ubuntu.com/12.04/ubuntu-help/power-hibernate.html

I see. BTW, I naturally couldn't resist testing the "sudo pm-hibernate" command for myself just to see if I could, and it didn't appear to have properly hibernated. Therefore, I'm not gonna worry about this one, I'm just gonna skip it. Thanx for the info, though.
