this is really strange problem.

Today I had a presentation, so attached laptop with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS to multimedia projector. All went good. But when I came back home and started the system, it showed me blank screen after login. system was working just screen was not showing anything. So I restarted it and logged in with another user and screen appear :D

My guess is it's issue of output display settings.

Anyone can suggest how to bring back screen on my original user? I have tried pressing Fn+F8 (CRT/LCD)

There is sometimes another Fn+F# combination for an external monitor on a laptop; on my old Acer Travelmate 2200 it is Fn+F5.

Try all the various options if you have not already done so.

NB: on this same laptop Fn+F6 turns of the display completely; perhaps yours has a similar Fn+ function of some kind.

on F8 it is written "CRT/LCD" so I think thats the function key for changing output
