I installed Ubuntu 12.04 desktop 64bit, Kernel Linux 3.5.0-34-generic on my laptop HP 6830s running ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3430, 4GB Ram, Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.40GHz.
I installed it on a separate logical ext4 partition while the disk also runs Windows 7 on NTFS.
At the log on screen the mouse and keyboard periodically freeze completely every 2-3 seconds for a second and then work again, but when I manage to successfully log on with my password everything is back to normal again.
Has anyone had this before?
What might be the fault? Graphics card maybe? And how could I solve it?
Thanks
