Luigi11; Hi ! Welcome to the forum !

It is not that we can not help you, It is that you do not provide any information pertinent to your situation with which to help you with !
A booting issue ?
A mounting issue ?
A networking issue ?
A encrypted access issue ?

How can we help if we do not know the nature of the issue ?

Put yourself in our place, look at it from our perspective - we are not looking at your monitor over your shoulder. You must tell us what you see and what is going on.

Then we can assuredly help !

I do hope this helps

Thanks for welcoming me ;). So the problem started when I installed Windows 8, it deleted the grub install, so I downloaded the live cd for Linux, and burned it on a usb drive. When I used boot-repair (by installing the boot-repair on the yannubuntu repo), the grub installation came back, with all options. But when I choose to start up Ubuntu I get an error screen. I'll reboot now to copy all of it and i'll place it in a new reply. Thanks for your patience ;) Greetz Luigi11
