Sounds reasonable to me. A witch has a much larger mass than a goose or duck and could cause much more mayhem if sucked into an engine of an aircraft making its final descent. And that's not taking into account the damage the broomstick could do either.

Perhaps someone needs to tell Harry Potter to pass the word around at Hogwarts. He could use an owl to deliver memos to all the other students. So long as the owl isn't a big one and flying at above 150m in restricted airspace, I suppose. :-k

However, witchcraft isn't a joking matter in Swaziland.
Hm, I thought everything was a joking matter in Swaziland. I stand corrected.

Swaziland is independent, not part of South Africa. Would be better off if it was.

The country is governed, in a manner of speaking, by Africa's last all-powerful monarch. A constitution and a parliament of sorts do exist. But, via a combination of rampant corruption, stunning incompetence, and meek deference to the royal will, Swaziland has become a failed state waiting to happen. Among other attributes, it has the highest HIV rate on the planet.

We should try and understand the beliefs of another culture and empathize; to many Swazis, witches may very well be real. There are plenty of other instances in modern life where the 'unimaginable' is taken as gospel.

Tongue being removed from cheek.

Africa is a continent with many countries (54) and Swaziland is not part of South Africa (Replublic of), it's an independent country ;)

: Does the law apply to Warlocks too?
Maybe if Witch's wore pants they would change that law.

I wonder if vampires and UFOs are forbidden to fly too... Though on a second thought vampires are not from the southern hemisphere, so I guess there's no need to create a law against them :)

There are vampire bats in the southern hemisphere: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire_bat

So I guess that is where northern hemisphere vampires go to hang out.

Sure, but I meant vampires (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire), like those that are often seen in Transylvania... Though, I've just realized there are vampires in Africa too (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire#Africa) :)

Anywhere that there are lawyers, there will be vampires.
