Hi. I'm running Xubuntu 12.10 and I really like the mac-style menus, as it saves desktop space.

I've searched high and low for a way to get it to work, but I've never been able to get it to work.
If there a package or instruction you've found to be successful, I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you

The global menu PPA stopped development with 12.04 If that is what you mean by mac-style menubar . https://launchpad.net/~the-warl0ck-1989/+archive/xfce-appmenu-plugin/?field.series_filter=precise

Probably guessing wrong, but There's GLX-Dock (http://glx-dock.org/index.php). You can make it look like the MAC menubar at the bottom of the screen. ;) It's even available via Synaptic or Ubuntu Software center, look for it using it's old name Cairo-Dock.
