Mission accomplished on HP Pavilion dv7 1025nr. I managed to dual-boot Windows Vista 64bit and Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS 64bit.
Issues:
- [SOLVED] black screen with cursor when booting Ubuntu > resolved using in grub: acpi=off, or acpi_osi=Linux
