I have an HP Paviion g6 notebook.
It has windows 8 preinstalled with some partitions this is the partition table

http://s22.postimg.org/4tx4etotp/snapshot1.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/4tx4etotp/)

The /dev/sda2 is the UEFI partition.

What happens, i'm new of the uefi world and i'm getting troublesh to get off that.

I made my ext4 partition for linux and reading on web i noticed that i must use a 64 bit that reocognize UEFI boot.

Where's the problem....if i install a 32 bit version the system installs but i cant see grub, for going in to ubuntu i have to disable the uefi boot, and go through some menù of boot choose and go to "boot hd notebook" and then i see grub...but this isn't a option, to make every boot those passages.

If i try to install the 64 bit version (the cd rom is recognized on boot) i get some errors on grub install like:

The 'grub-efi' package failed to install into /target/. Whithout the GRUB boot loader, the installed system will not boot.

What have i to do?

By the way i have done exactly the things written in there. In this wiki https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UEFI it says

Creating an EFI partition

If you are manually partitioning your disk in the Ubuntu installer, you need to make sure you have an EFI partition set up.

If your disk already contains an EFI partition (eg if your computer had Windows8 preinstalled), it can be used for Ubuntu too. Do not format it. It is strongly recommended to have only 1 EFI partition per disk.
well how? how can i use this partition? Where i have to install grub, if i do not anything i gave the error i said before.

Did you create the linux partitions from within Windows 8?

I Made a big partition on windows 8. Then i splitted it in swap and / ext4 + /home ext4 from the live installation

i tried once Linux-Secure-Remix, it gave me an error reparing, then appears something like grub whith many many voices on menù kubuntu---other values kubuntu......something like 10 15 voices...and kubuntu started....but i am doubtful because the kubuntu started was very unstable, and gives some erros so i am doubtful if the installation is gone ok or not....and i read many many posts telling that it's possibile to install correctly the system. I guess whitout errors

If you follow the procedure of the link I gave you, you have a step where you have to install and run boot-repair which takes care of the grub problem.
Please read it and follow it.
Several people reported your error "The 'grub-efi' package failed to install into /target/" and the boot-repair solved it. Google it.

The fact is that: when i got the error of grub installing, then i have to use boot-repair. But only windows 8 starts. For making start boot-repair i have to change the uefi boot to legacy boot on bios...let's call that

boot repair too gives me an error on the boot log file creation

Then I don't know. I haven't had that problem.
You might have a corrupted iso for 13.04.

Only 64bit Ubuntu will boot with UEFI enabled. It appears to me that the GRUB did not install correctly.

Anyways,
Have you turned off 'fast startup' in Win8?
http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/6320-fast-startup-turn-off-windows-8-a.html

Run Boot-Repair (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair) from 64bit Ubuntu DVD/USB and post the output "BootInfo Summary". A link will be generated for you post it here.
