I'm re-installing 12.04 on my Desktop Machine. Windows is on one drive and Ubuntu is going on the second drive. Should the Ubuntu Boot Manager for dual boot be installed on on Windows or on Ubuntu? I'm suspecting it should be on the Ubuntu /boot drive. The question is asked during the installation so thought I would confirm with someone that has more knowledge than me before finishing the new install.
I had Ubuntu installed on this machine, but for whatever reason the machine wouldn't boot to Ubuntu. On investigation I found the Ubuntu drive was not being recognized by the system. So I installed another hard drive which is being recognized.
I don't recall how I answered the question above on that install. Now you know why I'm asking. As always my thanks.
