Unity theme on Gnome?

Hi All,

I've been trying to get ubuntu going and much as I love unity it's hopelessly slow with a dual screen setup with default drivers on ATI RadeonHD 2400. The main issue I had was whenever I launched the dock menu (super key) everything ground to a halt. Was fine with mirrored display. Long story short I gave up on Unity as the new propitiatory drivers broke everything.

So...

Gnome works a treat, but the default shell theme is far to big and ugly, is there any way I can install the unity window appearance and keep everything else gnome?

Install the Tweak Tool and gnome shell extensions from software center. Open the Tweak Tool and under extensions enable the user themes extension. Under theme you can apply the Ubuntu default themes. The top panel in the shell has it's own theme though and you can install different shell themes .

Thanks for the quick reply. I had tried the tweak tool but as I am using the gnome specific distro so I guess the default themes aren't included. Do you have any idea where I would find the default theme package?

Download and double click the .deb package .http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/package/gnome_3/raring/main/base/light-themes

Or
sudo apt-get install light-themes
