'Buffer I/O error on device sda' suggests that there is something wrong with your hard drive.

Open the 'Disks' application and check the SMART status of your drive.

No thier is no problem with my hard disk. and i install 10.10 again. i checked very carefully the difference between the 12.04 installation and 10.10 instalation that is on the part show above in image "updating-grub" take not so long time in 10.10. hardly 5 minutes and i install 10.10 with in 30 minutes. i am still stucked. i tried 3 times after creating this thread and its still stucked on this updaing-grub. what happened to this ubuntu12.04. i dont understand.

Have you checked the MD5SUM (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM) of your downloaded iso file?

A corrupt installation disk could cause this sort of random error.
