Hello guys:
let me ask you a question: Is it possible to have a UNR for a netbook and uninstall unity.
I know it was discontinued in 11.10 but is technically possible to have it with the 13.04 release?

I ask this question because I still have the UNR 10.04 in my ASUS S101 and itś the best desktop GUI I've ever worked for my netbook.
I've seached here and the web for answers but haven't any luck.
Thanks

I suppose it is theoretically possible, but the hassle of updating everything would probably be not worth doing, though I say that with no real experience or skill at coding anything.

There is a Netbook edition of Lubuntu that comes automatically with the .iso, and you get to from the login screen, but it is different from, though similar to the old 10.04 ubuntu version; in Lubuntu the groups of applications are along the top instead of the left hand side.

I've already seen that lubuntu netbook but it's kind of poor compared with the original UNR.
I hope someone with more expertise give us more information.
Thanks a lot ajgreeny.
