But it appears that intel card is the only one working. Back on windows, it semed to be switching to nvidia card when it came to intense graphics like gaming. It does not seem to happen on ubuntu. Is there any way to make it work, or is it working as intended?

Thanks!

Hi Pally1.

Take a look at Bumblebee (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bumblebee).

It works that way because Nvidia failed to produce a video driver for that set up and Linux community developers had to try and produce a driver without access to Nvidia code. Recently Nvidia started to work on a driver.

Do not expect the same experience with Nvidia Optimus technology on Linux as you get with Windows.
