So I just built my PC and just yesterday figured out how to boot from USB with my troublesome Gigabyte motherboard. I installed raring and everything was absolutely fine. I'd turned the PC off several times and unity came back. But after installing some packages and turning it off for the night I've come back and the window borders (where the close, minimise etc buttons are) and unity as a whole does not load. Instead I can just see my wallpaper and the files on my desktop.

The packages I installed are now un-installed but it hasn't brought Unity back. They were

Catalyst Control Center (Old Nvidia card temporarily in use)
Hibernate (Didn't have a swap partition created yet)
Steam

I've got the compiz error report that request me to automatically send a bug report. How do I get Unity back? I currently have an old Geforce nVidia card until I get a 7790 in a few days.
