Flash installation

Hi, in a terminal i typed "sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer" and it seemed to work fine. But i'm told that i have to ..mount the file onto my firefox browser? How do i do this?

You don't need to do any more. Go to a web site using flash, i.e. youtube and try to watch a video.

But i tried going to youtube and the video still said 'flash required', or something of the sort. What to do?

You try to install ubuntu restricted extras through software center. Follow the instructions in this link: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/nonfree it includes flash plugin and other non free codecs.
