Just a suggestion - add bug-fixing to the list of "What we should do more.." when donating.

This is not meant to be disrespectful - but it is a fact, that testing and bug-fixing is required in all software development, including Ubuntu - and personally I'd prefer more stability than more features.
And I also think it's important when trying to get new users - people are not going to stay with an OS that crashes several times per day. I know, superusers can usually find fixes for these issues - disable this, install that package etc.

Anyways, I guess I see the feature as a way to Vote on what I think is important, and then I'd like to select the option I think is important. (Ok, I'd also go for the hardware support, which is in the same ballpark to some extent.)

I am sure that a lot of the bug squad people like money. But if you paid for each bug fix mr pitt would be a wealth man. though I am sure that canonical pays him and other real well.I vote nah and if you want a certain bug fixed I suggest that you look upstream
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upstream_(software_development)
and not at ubuntu.

I didn't mean for each bug-fix - though I can see the subject suggesting that - I just meant that since they have this "What would you like us to improve.." page when donating, it'd be nice to be able to choose "Stability" or bugfixing or something similar.

Why not donate to the better coordination with debian and upstream, as those are typically where most of the bugs get there fixes in.

I suppose that's a way to say it. Maybe 50/50 upstream and hardware support...
