Ladies and Gentlemen, children of all ages!!!

The Ubuntu NewUserNetwork (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NewUserNetwork) is proud to present the brand new attraction, The Classroom (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Classroom).

The Classroom is a new project brought on by the members of the NewUserNetwork in order to bring together members of the Ubuntu Community to help teach new Ubuntu and new Linux users. The topics of study will be from the most basic, Introduction to IRC, all the way up to the more advanced, Kernel Configurations and Advanced Systems Administration. Classes still need instructors, and everyone is welcome to come join us on IRC in #ubuntu-nun and #ubuntu-classroom.

Everyone with comments, suggestions, and/or questions is welcome to email the NewUserNetwork (new_user_mentors@lists.novarata.net). Thank you everyone, and take care!!!

Is this open to anyone? I mean, can anyone be a "student" in the Classroom, or is there some registration requried?

I think this a nice project, which would probably be the closest thing that we can have for a sort of "course" or lectures for Ubuntu.

You are correct, anyone can be a student, as this is open to everyone. Just as anyone can be a student, anyone can also be an instructor. We hope this will be successful. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you there!!!
