Dash disappeared

Using 12.04 and suddenly, the Dash doesn't work and I can't find files. Hitting the super key does nothing, except that a little triangle appears to the right of the Dash icon. It doesn't open a search window. Where did it go and how can I get it back?

I can't answer how it failed, but you can try the following.

Open Terminal : Ctrl + Alt + T

Unity Reset:
unity --reset
