Hello fellows,

I am considering to buy a tablet-netbook all-in-one. I would appreciate any suggestion on what product should I buy. Of course, it should be a device that could work full with ubuntu.

best,
DM

The best advice is to wait 6 to 12 months and buy a tablet with Ubuntu Touch pre-installed. Otherwise, if you want to experiment, look at this:

That is definitely wise. However, I am looking for a gift for my wife's birthday... If you have any suggestion for experimenting, do not hesitate in share it.

There are more and more Chinese brands tablets in the market, especial on e-shop. As a new shop , they like to offer many discounts to attract customers's attention. For example,a site from aliexpress.I don't know what's your idea about this.Sure,to be honest with you,Chinese brand tablets are very cheap with high quality.Somebody don't like Chinese tablets for their low quality.I don't know.one side, I love the price from China .one another side,I have to worry about the quality.Furthermore, I can not buy a tablet with Chinese price in any other countries.Just feel free to talk about this here!

Thanks for your comment. I am not looking for cheap devices (albeit I do not want to pay just for the brand). What I am looking for is for a good device, which means, something that can work with linux instead of Microsoft crap.

Thanks,
M

I am going to buy a Nexus 10. I hope that Ubuntu Touch will solve the pending issues soon: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Devices/Nexus#State_of_things

With unique multitasking productivity, effortless navigation and defence-ready security, Ubuntu raises the bar on tablet design and sets a new standard for the post-PC era. Bright. Brilliant. Beautiful. And naturally neat.

You know, there are chatbots that go to the trouble of machine-translating random snippets on unrelated subjects and inserting random links to product pages for SEO purposes, and then there's this. I don't actually understand the purpose of quoting random copy from a product page onto that product's own forums, in a related thread, without linking to anything....

Seriously - what is it?
