Recommend a multimedia remote for Ubuntu

I'm posting here because the questions seems to be more of a "chatty" topic rather than a "help" topic. I'm interested in buying a remote that I can use to control rythmbox (or any other music playing software, I'm not dead set on rythmbox.) Who has done this, and what hardware/software are you using? Would you recommend your setup, or what would you change about it if you were doing it again?

I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit on an AMD frankenstein machine if that makes a difference.
