I just finished installing Ubuntu 13.04 next to Windows 7 Pro. I was expecting to see a screen giving me the choice to go into Windows or Ubuntu. But I'm getting nothing. So I have no way to get into Ubuntu. Just goes to Windows 7.

Before when I've installed other Ubuntu, including the former to 13.04 I had no issues at all.

So what must I do to make this work.

Be gentle, I'm a 73 year old guy. :)

Boot-Repair (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair) tool/utility should solve it for you. You should boot you Ubuntu installation DVD/USB, "Try Ubuntu" when the desktop is loaded install it and run it. Boot-repair will scan for errors and offer "Recommended Repair", run it. If it doesn't then post the output of "Bootinfo Summary' that Boot-Repair generates.

Follow the above link for more detailed instructions and explainations.

I followed directions and entered the CD Live Demo mode.

Sorry...that didn't work. The first command went thru ok. The update command didn't. Showed numerous messages about could not fetch, etc etc

So I'm guessing it didn't fetch the boot-repair

Sorry to be such a pest. But I'm still needing help with this.

Please disregard my message. After trying several times it did finally work. Many thanks to all.
