I want to install Ubuntu alongside Windows 7, using some free space I left. But how do I manage that free space? Earlier, you could select the size of how big you wanted Ubuntu to be during the installation. I can't see it being able to do from here?

242595

Of course before that stage you get this
242596
but even if I chose to install it on the same partition as Windows, I wouldn't be able to choose the size. It just automatically does this and begins to install, and I don't know how much space it will grab. I'd like to be in control!

This is from a 12.04 installation, but the same applies to 13.04.

Go back to to the screen where you can choose "something else". Then use that free space to create a new partition where you can choose the size.
