Hello, I'm in the process of trying to install Ubuntu on my desktop and keep receiving the error message:

"trying to overwrite '/etc/console-setup/compose.ISO-8859-13.inc', which is also in package console-setup 1.88"

I've tried installing from a CD and USB and still get the same message. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

You should first check the integrity of your downloaded Ubuntu .iso file with MD5Sum Check (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM). If there is problem then re-download. Then Burn it properly using instructions on This Page (http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop).

If you still have problems then post with complete info about your machine's hardware, like Graphics, Cpu, RAM... Is your machine booting with UEFI?

Is it a single Ubuntu OS you want or are you trying to Dual-Boot?

The ISO file is good, I've also installed Ubuntu on it before, but deleted it. Now that I'm trying to reinstall it, I'm running into this issue.

My system:
Processor: i5-3570k
Ram: 8gb
Graphics: GTX 550 TI
Windows 8 on primary drive

I've tried booting with UEFI, USB, and CD; always getting the same error.

This happens no matter which way I try, single or dual, so I installed Mint and now am trying to dual boot.
