I plugged a KVM switch to use both of my desktops without having to manualy switch the cables back and forth. When I did that the screen resolution droped from 1280x1024 to 1024x768 on both my Win7 and Ubuntu 12.04 desktops. When I booted my Win7 box all I had to do was change it back upto it's normal 1280x1024 but my Ubuntu box does not have any options above 1024x768. I do have a nVidia GTS 450 card in the Ubuntu box.
