I have a Xubuntu 13.04 installation that I had installed Nautilus (and removed again), but the menu item didn't go away. No problem I thought... until I tried to find it.

Basically it is a "dead" launcher in the menu, producing the expected error if I click on it, but it doesn't appear anywhere in the menu editor (alacarte) nor can I find the associated .desktop file that the menu is somehow finding - and I looked in the usual places in my home directory (~/.local/share/applications) and in /usr/share/applications.

Where is the errant .desktop file likely to be? It's starting to irritate... :-(
