I know when most people think of search engines they think of google ,yahoo or Bing .

Do other people here know of good search engines other than three? What about duckduckgo is it any good?

Also what are some good news ‪aggregator‬ like google news or yahoo news?

Is ask.com/news any good?

http://www.ask.com/news

It kinda has feel like google news it also has search engines built in , image search and video search like google image and video search.

Is it any good? Or do you know of better ones out there?

Get an application that aggregates your news and then set up the rss feeds from the sources you that you want.

I recently decided to add a news aggregator to my Linux Mint Nadia laptop.

Having found an enthusiastic recommendation of RSSowl, I considered installing it. But I found that various suggested installation procedures for it looked both rather complex and also somewhat conflicting.

Finally, I wound up installing Liferea, which has received many 5-star ratings in the Software Center. The layout of its GUI strikes me as pleasing, and I've found it very easy to customize to my interests: e.g., mathematics, statistics, physics, and general science. It is easy to identify sources of RSS feeds on various subjects and add them to Liferea.
