I've installed gnome-fallback in Precise to get the classic desktop.

The time is displayed as hh:mm in the Applet part of the system panel at the top right.
Is there a way to add the date and seconds to this? eg 7 May 2013 11:51:14

Right click on the time and then go to preferences.

Thanks ibjsb4, and especially for the link you posted elsewhere to Classic Tweaks (might as well duplicate it here to save frustration by others)

Your solution is great for the Clock applet but this was not installed by default - at least for me: 'Indicator Applet Complete' just displays hh:mm (24-hr) with no option to alter it.

For anyone pursuing this, go to the link and take it from there.

I do not use Indicator Applet Complete, instead I have indicator-datetime installed.
