I just upgraded to the latest version from 12.10. Now that I have when I login to my user account I do not get the Launcher bar and the bar at the top of the screen that shows the time, etc. I can login as Guest (which is how I posted this Thread) and everything works. I'm using a Gigabyte GA-785 motherboard wih onboard ATI graphics. When I go to System Settings, Details it says my Graphics is Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 3.2, 128 bits). That doesn't seem right.

I need help. Right now my user account is unusable.

Hi!, wide-load & scpatl4now.

Try creating a second Administration account; Right-Click on Desktop>Change Background>All Settings>user accounts.

Check out my thread in Ubuntu +1: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2136435

There is along list there, of proffered solutions, though only one of them worked for me: the '--reset-unity' script included in Unity-Tweak-Tool run from Fallback, not the faulty desktop login.

Chao!, bogan.
