Have downloaded and extracted the files. When I attempt to execute setup-dosemu I don't get any results. Have tried to Run and Run in terminal. All I get is looped back to
where I started which is /home/dosemu/dosemu-1.4.0. Can someone please give me a step by step instruction of how to install this emulator? Also would like to know how to open the terminal from the desktop. Thanks.

What do you mean? Its in the software center.
sudo apt-get install dosemu
You may find dosbox better. Also in the software center.
sudo apt-get install dosbox

sudo apt-get install dosemu is means nothing to me at this point because I can't evcen get to a bash prompt to type that in. I presume it is a command that would casue something to happen. Where is all the support for newbies like nyself? Just giving me the code is not going to help unless I am advised how to get to a pint for typing and step by step instructions on what to do. Very frustrating!

Ctrl+Alt+T
or go to Dash - mouse up to top left somewhere
That should open a terminal.
Then type that command in - though you might be better of with using the software centre.

Discovered the pkg in software center and have installed it successfully. Now I need to know how to access programs from my Win98SE system (i.e., from the "Local Drive") or put them in dosemu folder (or whatever) so I can run them from there. Anyone?
