USB ports not functioning after upgrade to 13.04

Hi,

I am running a Dell Latitude E6410 with Windows 7 / Ubuntu 13.04. After upgrading from 12 to 13 I noticed that Ubuntu won't recognize any USB drives that are plugged in. Interestingly, it worked fine under 12 and I used a live USB to upgrade from 12 to 13.

Also, the USB works fine on my Windows partition.

I'm a bit rusty with command line so any help would be appreciated.

I've solved this problem. Can someone tell me how to mark the thread as "solved?"

I just ran the Software Updater and the updates fixed the USB problem. Not sure how, but it worked.

Up at the top, there's a dropdown labeled "Thread Tools"; as the initiator of the thread, you will see an option on that dropdown called "Mark this thread as solved."
