dash lens issues in 13.04

Since upgrading to 13.04 I'm having issues using windows+A, windows+F etc to call up the dash lenses.

Generally there's just no response, however, it does seem to work on the rare occasion.

Any suggestions as I tend to fire up all my apps using dash search.

I turned off auto-hide in dash. I did that in order to fix a mouse sticking issue moving between monitors. That change appears to fix this dash search issue but I'd rather have auto-hide on.
