View Full Version : [ubuntu] After upgrade from 12.04 to 13.04 very slow start

I used a laptop Toshiba satellite amd. After upgrade from 12.04 to 13.04 it got very slow to start.

1. Can you provide more information about your hardware?
2. Did you try to identify where in the boot process the system consumes more time than before?
3. Is the system fully updated, including additional drivers for e.g. wireless adapters?

No I haven't I am not sure where to do that.

I did did the upgrade as recommended by ubuntu.

2x AMD Turion(tm)x2 dual-core Mobile RM 72.
4046 MB.
ubuntu 13.03.
1280x800pixels.
x.org foundation.
HDA-intel-HDA ATI SB.
HDA-intel-HDA HDMI
-------------------------
ATA TOSHIBA MK3252GS.
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50 N

One way to check what happens during the boot process is to go to the dash and search for Log File Viewer and look through the log files. You could also install specialized software to visualize the boot process:
