View Full Version : error "invalid or corrupt kernel image" and md5 wrong

I have downloaded ubuntu 13.04amd64 from official site and torrent. The md5 check sums is always wrong. i create a bootable usb with unetbootin. When i restart the system i get this error "invalid or corrupt kernel image". what i can do? thanks

pc configuration:
Toshiba Satellite l505
core i3 - 4gb ram
ati 5165 1024mb
windows 7 home x64

Welcome to the forums!

Use a Bitorrent client like U-Torrent to re-download the iso.
If the new iso doesn't work, then try using something else other than Unetbootin (it failed 5 times for me today!) like LILI. ( www.linuxliveusb.com )

EUREKA! I solved by installing poweriso!!! unetbootin and linuxliveusb are not updated with ubuntu 13.04 and this causes problems with boot! thank you so much!
