hello.

Trying to install Kubuntu 13.04 on my thinkpad x100e. running fine from usb stick (i'm typing from thhat now), but won't boot up from harddrive. starts, seems to be booting up, but then just goes to a black screen and stays there. I was running Linux mint just fine.

Thoughts anyone?

I am running mint nadia xfce on a old netbook and all is great.
wish i could be more technically helpful

I first tried a 64 bit install (when I wrote the first post) I have since tried tried a 32 bit install with the same result. Weird indeed!

I'm getting black screens and everything too. 13.04 is just a bad release since I can't get ANY of the variants working

Have yall tried setting the "nomodeset" or other options from the kernel boot command line ?
