Hey guys,

I've been using Ubuntu 12.10 for several months now, and yesterday I upgraded to 13.04. It's working great except for one minor bug that bothers me alot.

Everytime I open the dash the backround is made up of pixelated green and purple squares instead of the nice clean color it should be. Here is a screenshot.

Any ideas of what to do to fix this? The dash is a little slower to start up then usual, but other then that works fine. This is just really annoying. Any ideas how to fix it? I've tried restarting and that doesn't help.

Thanks.

Do you have Compiz Configuration Settings Manager installed? If so, open the Ubuntu Unity plug in and make sure that the Dash background is set to #000000. Or set the Dash blur to no blur. See if that has any effect.

Thank you grahammechanical - your suggestion fixed the same issue for me. (Dash was causing my netbook to freeze for up to 5 minutes.)
