Hi!

I'm trying to install Ubuntu 12.04.02-amd64 on an Acer Aspire

I followed all the instructions from this post: help.ubuntu.com/community/UEFI

I installed as usual. First problem was that Windows do not appear in the grub list. I do not tried to run Ubuntu, but boot from USB to repair the windows issue.

I run boot-repair following the instructions from this post: help.ubuntu/community/Boot-Repair

After that, windows appears in the grub list, and runs normally. Then I tried to run Ubuntu, and the screen just keeped black and nothing happends. I tried the safe mode, and the log ended with this:

Kernel Panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= to kernel

I've searched about this kind of errors, but all of them appear when changing something in te system, not a clean installation, so I was not sure of trying any of the recomendations.

Here is the link that boot-repair gave me: http://paste.ubuntu.com/5726048/
