Hi everybody,

In my house I've an external HD with all my backups, pictures, musics, etc etc.
I decided to have in my notebook just Ubuntu. How I work with linux whole the day, I thought to utilize just linux and forget Windows.
In my first day, I put my external hd and listened some musics, etc. And then I turned off the pc.
When I turned on again to my surprise 90% of my files of the external hd was DELETED.
I tryed a lot of thinks and I couldn't recuperate nothing.
So I put the HD in the Windows and I executed the reparation. After that, I had all my files again.

This is a terrible error in Ubuntu. In my vision, it's impossible you have your first pc just with ubuntu. They have a lot of problemas, some updates crash the system and now, I discovered the worst error, I cannot trust in one system that delete my files.

I really like ubuntu, I really support the development , but have a long time that exists ubuntu and until now is just a beta (or alpha) system and not trustable.

ah yes!
It's called the zen bug.
It was put in the linux kernel in 1814 by a Japanese zen monk to teach us that attachment to digital media leads to samsara.
Wait, I think I hear a troll in the attic
