Hello, is it possible to remove dash button from 12.10? I liked how it was in 10.10 with the panel at the top, but i still want to have the launcher.
I know you could just install the older version of gnome, but that would remove the launcher as well which i dont want.

Thanks in advance

You can install the gnome session and select it at login. Ctrl + Alt +t
sudo apt-get install gnome-session-fallback. Lubuntu and Xubuntu both have more traditional desktops.

yeah i understand i can do that, but that will remove the launcher as well. I basically want to have gnome, but i also want the launcher from 12.10 unity to be there aswell.

I will not remove Unity it just adds adds another session and you could install Cairo Dock or Docky from the software center for a Luncher . You can't remove dash and keep the panel. Gnome uses a different top panel than Unity as well.
