Hi everyone,
I just bought a sony laptop with preinstalled windows 8 in UEFI (Secure boot is enable). I want to try out Ubuntu 13.04 amd 64 beta 2 so I use Usb universal to create a live usb but I cannot boot from it. When I boot from usb, a list of action display and I choose "Try Ubuntu without installing" but it just display blank screen forever. What should I do now to make my usb bootable. Thank u very much.

Thank u for replying my post. But I think the problem is not the graphic card. My laptop use this graphic card: AMD Radeon™ HD 7550M. Also Ubuntu 12.10 works just fine but I don't know why this happen in 13.04. With that usb I can boot up normally in other sony laptop with NVIDIA graphic card (using old BIOS).

First, that is still a Beta, I'm not sure it has something to do with it. There is a separate subforum for the version under development, you can ask there.

Second, just in case, have you tried with Secure Boot turned off?
