I downloaded Meld yesterday to compare the contents of my backup files and folders with the originals. It ran wonderfully well. Unfortunately - 1 day later - I can't remember how to run it. The Meld folder is on my desktop but I can't find which file I have to double click to make it run. Anyone able to help? Did I mention I'm in my 60s?

You can look for the name of the Meld to run in directory /usr/bin/, you look for Meld and it will be shown the name of the .bin one.

You can run it from Terminal:

meld

or to run as root (if you want to compare files that have root permissions)

sudo meld

Press the SUPER (or: Windows) key, and type "meld". That should show meld. Click on it. Done
