I just installed Ubuntu 12.4 on my HP Pavilion dv2000. Installation went fine but upon logging in (username or guest) it gives me a garbled screen (different every time I restart). I was JUST about to post when my last try was successful. However I've run across issues again. Here's what I'm looking at.

Clicking on the dash menu this time made my screen go blank for a good 5 minutes.
