Hello,
I recently installed Gnome Shell in Lubuntu 12.10. GNOME Classic works fine but GNOME 3 does not work. I do not see an error message. When I log into GNOME 3, I just get a screen that displays my wallpaper on it. There is no panel at the top and I am unable to launch any programs. Only notifications seem to work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times but the same thing happens. Is there any way I can fix this? I really like using the GNOME 3 desktop and would like it functional.

Thank you. However, is there a way to not completely install the GNOME 3 desktop? And if I do, will I lose any of the other desktop environments I installed?
